9.12.09 Taxpayer Protest

I found today, while searching the many different "912 movement" web sites a site called http://912dc.org. I am so glad that someone took up the mantle and moved this project forward beyond just venting on the original "the912project.com" site.

My wife and I registered for the gathering on 9-12-09 in DC and are excited about going. We will be driving our truck to the protest, or at least as close to the protest as we can get it and hope to have the wrap on it by then.

I took liberties with their front page and downloaded the logo flier/logo and made fliers to hand out and hang up at all our stops between now and the time of the event.

I will, in the future, be posting more here about the protest so say tuned and go sign up now. We need as many folks there as we can get. Hopefully the July 4th protest will act as a primer for that event as well.

The 8 Turncoats...Voluntary Traitors or Blackmailed into Oblivion

Please understand that this is merely a hypothesis but certainly a possibility considering the phone calls received by their offices in opposition of H.R.2454 before they voted, and the unrelenting retribution they'll surely suffer for those yes votes.

I just wonder if the Democratic leadership, (I use the term "leadership" with great hesitation), has pictures of these folks with goats, emails from their computers to and or from abhorrent love affairs outside their marriages, or irrefutable evidence of other incomprehensible behavior. I can think of no other LOGICAL reason for such an irresponsible vote.

I mean look, the liberals are known to be, and are even expected to vote irresponsibly but these folks are supposed to be conservative Republicans. Not only did they vote yes on this bill, but they obviously hadn't read the 1300 page monstrosity nor had they even thought of the possible ramifications of the most sweeping tax legislation ever to hit the American citizens.

The only reasoning I can think of is that they were afraid of having some very, very, bad and or embarrassing news and or photographs exposed if they didn't do as told. Surely to goodness no one could vote yes on legislation like this thinking honestly that it would be good for the American Republic. That leaves but two possibilities, the aforementioned and...treason.

My worry is what's next, health care, gun control, another pork laden stimulus product, who knows but will these folks get some backbone, or maybe dig up a little integrity before the next vote. Will these 8 traitors decide that rather than destroy this Republic any further, rather than tighten the binding chains of tyranny on their constituents any tighter, that they will take the lumps due them for any wrongdoing that the Democratic leadership may be holding over their heads?

I think not, but I digress...
I speculate, you decide.

A Leap of Faith

Just a note to let you all know that we, my wife and I, have decided, on a leap of faith, to move forward on this project. We have decided that someone MUST do SOMETHING and that that someone is going to be us. We will be selling shirts and bumper stickers with images of the truck on them to help defray the costs of the wrap and any shows we may enter. We will also still be accepting contributions, however we have come to the realization that everyone has a project to do, they all cost money, and if they support our project then they will have fewer funds to support their own.

The 912 site has been a great site to air thoughts, ideas, fears, and even differences but from my point of view it has become a venting solution for our disgust of our government and our marginalization by the same.

I feel a calling to do this and with only two obstacles, money and fear, We have decided to take the money out of the equation and meet fear head on...with a vengeance. We are taking the 8th to the 17th of July off work at our very humble abode in Florida to have the wrap done, take care of some deferred maintenance, on the truck AND ourselves, and we will be back on the road on or about the 18th of July.

We have decided to call the truck "America's Alarm Clock" or just "Alarm Clock", whichever we can find a way to work into the design features of the wrap. I will, after finished post a picture of the truck at both of my blogspot blogs for all to see. I will also, on one of the blogs be trying to post daily updates of our travels and where will will be at a given time just in case anyone who reads it may want to see the truck.

We hope to spark conversation, debate, interest, and participation in the 912 project, tea parties, and the salvation of our great nation. We also hope that if you all see us on the road you will give a hearty wave and wish us your best. I have no delusions of grandeur, America is asleep and it is going to be very hard for us to wake them up. Talk radio, television, newspapers, etc. haven't been able to do it so I see it quite doubtful that one truck traveling the country with two nut job, radical, hate mongers at the wheel will be able to do it any time soon.

I hope in the future I can announce another project that we have in mind to gain support for "the912project.com" revolutionary movement. I believe in America so greatly that nothing is too far fetched, anything can happen and we will win our country back. Thanks for indulging and God Bless you all.

Is The Media Culpable?

Is the media culpable in the passage of the cap and tax bill that passed the house today? The short answer, I believe,is Yes. In the immortal words of John Kerry..."I Believe", the media, in their non-coverage of the issue is absolutely complicit if not culpable.

The endless coverage of the death of Michael Jackson has kept the issue of cap and trade on the back burner. The media can now say, "but this is what the sheeple wanted", "no, really, look at our ratings".

The fact of the matter is, in my humble opinion, that the msm has a duty, if not an obligation to keep us informed. Now I realize that money matters but I also know that the citizens have to be informed to be able to make a difference. We have all kinds of options for "media" but even the folks that do stay somewhat engaged are relatively lazy when it comes to acquiring information. We need to be "fed" rather than having to "hunt". The unfortunate thing is that the media, congress, the president, and anyone else involved in policy making know what to put in the news, when to drop it and when not to make a newsworthy drop.

If you think that isn't the case, how many people are aware that 5 more banks were taken over by the fed this past Friday night? Again, newsworthy information dropped after the close of business on Friday night. The news gets buried in the weekend papers over the weekend and it then is never mentioned again. The politicians have become masters at using this technique.

My point is that if the msm were doing their job as "investigative reporters" and acting as the "fourth branch" of government like they lay claim to then the slime ball politicians couldn't get away with this practice. For me, I'll continue to stay attuned to the happenings around me and to the actions of our greasy, slime ball, gutter snipe politicians by doing my due diligence, reading, and listening to every one who is talking...liberal OR conservative.

I guess in summation, the real problem is Ignorance and Apathy...I don't know and I don't care.

On Glenn Beck's Common Sense.

I purchased Glenn's book the other day and honestly I figured it would be just another of his rants making "non-specific" accusations. Man was I wrong. While I do believe that a few more "republican's" could have been called out by name in the book, I also think he done a very good job of nailing whoever he named directly too the wall.

Quite frankly, I didn't believe he would be nearly as overt about the "call to action" as he was and it was actually a pleasant surprise to see those words in print.

I also think it too bad that mostly only his listeners will read the book. I and another of my friends have bought 12 copies each and are in the process of passing them to the most unlikely readers we can find. I think it is too bad that the cover of the book can't be removed so that the prejudice against the writer would be extinguished and the book seen for what it really is, an enlightening to an "out of control government".

For what it's worth, good job Glenn. The call to action has re-kindled my burning desire to take back our country form an "out of control government" on the verge of tyranny.

Obama's Measured Silence on Iran...Deafening or Deliberate?

Far be it from me to second guess the decisions made by the President, but I am willing to guess at what the implications of those decisions may be. The President's silence on the political eruption in Iran is one decision that has this writer wondering. As I see it there are two or maybe three possibilities for his relative silence on the issue.

First, He and his administration have decided it best, just like he said, to stay out of it for the most part so as not to be used as a foil in the situation by those in charge. He just doesn't want to give them a reason to blame the United States for the unrest in their country. I mean, if we are seen as an instigator and a lot of Iranians end up dying, as I predict will happen, and the current regime' stays in charge, also as I see happening, then we...The United States, are seen by the people of that country as the cause of the deaths and we are seen by that regime' as instigators and they won't be as likely, in B.O.'s opinion, to come to the table in future negotiations.

Or..., He doesn't want to instigate the uprising any further than he has because he knows that he won't be willing to stand behind those that are revolting. Whether he doesn't want them to succeed or just doesn't want to get involved with helping to put another country back together, who knows, but in my humble opinion, if we aren't going to stand with them through the entire fight and help them when it get's tough then we sure shouldn't encourage a bunch of dissidents to risk life and limb. Certainly though, if we are willing to stand with them in the name of freedom they should know that as well.

Or..., and what I believe may be at the real root of the silence is a "deliberately pointed response" What if Obama sees what is happening there as a prelude to what is coming here. What if his pointed response is just that. He sees the unrest in this country at a near boil and doesn't want to be too terribly harsh on the regime' in Iran because he doesn't know what he may have to do to quash the unrest, revolt, uprising, dissent, and all around dissatisfaction in his own country. He just may not want to be seen as a hypocrite for doing here what they are doing there to silence the distrust.

You have to decide for yourself what you think, I am just here to offer possibilities and opinions. I will tell you though that we are at a boiling point in this country. I see the distrust of this government at an unbelievable high right now and quite honestly I'm not sure why people aren't already marching in the streets. I can assure you though that the time is near in this country for an uprising of astronomical proportions. My wife and I travel an average of 20000 miles per month in the lower 48 states and everywhere we go there is total dissatisfaction. The time is very, very near. I can only pray for peaceful protests rather than a bloody revolt. Whatever happens, God Bless our Great Country.

I just want to know who is doing the "poling" in this country and who the "polers" are calling. I mean...I'm just sayin'.

912 Project Truck...Looking for help, fund raisers, donations, etc.

Okay all, I realize I am probably going to sound like a beggar here but please listen. I am working my butt off to wake people up all over the country. I am a truck owner/driver and run the lower 48 United States. I talk to people everywhere ago about the peril America in in right now. I keep in my truck a box of pocket constitutions and pass them out everywhere I go, I leave them with tips in restaurants, in shopping carts, and hand them to people everywhere. Now I would like to take another step but it is going to be pretty expensive. I want to have my truck "wrapped" in vinyl with the Unite or Die/912 Flag and put the 9 values and 12 principles in it as well. I think this is a great way to raise awareness and spark conversations all over the country. My problem is that it is fairly expensive to do, about 4500.00 or so. I am looking for a way to raise funds and have had some interest in others making contributions to the cause. If you are interested in helping or have any ideas please let me know. I will include a picture of the truck here so that you can see the "before" and will be happy to post an after pic once it is done. I'm not looking for a money maker just funds for the wrap and installation. There is nothing in it for me but the salvation of our country.
