Just a quick Note

Just thought I'd better write a quick note to let those of you who check back often, as I have asked you to do, that I haven't deserted the site. We have been very busy the last week or so. As a matter of fact, since I last posted here, we have driven about 10,950 miles. Here is what the map looks like.

This started in Atlanta, Ga and went to Sterling Va, then to Newqrk NJ, orlando FL, Las Vegas NV, Salt Lake City UT, Groveport OH, Irving TX one day off for Thanksgiving dinner and much needed rest, then on to El Paso TX, Groveport OH and now we are on our way to Medley FL which is in the Miami area. We are to be there in the morning to deliver and then our destination is unknown. I am hoping we can head back to Las Vegas though.

We are looking very much forward to some time off in December. We will be taking off from the 19th until sometime in January. Until I can post more details of our past few days, this should give you an idea of where we've been and why we haven't been posting here or at Stop the Destruction of America.

More Later.

Our Day off Yesterday, No Politics, No News Talk, Nothing but Relaxation.

So, we decided yesterday that we needed a break from all the crap that is going on. A break from the destruction of our constitution, first through a shredder, then right into the fire pit. A break from FAUX News channel, a break from internet access, a break from all things political. We just needed to unplug.

Our day off took us on a fairly short trip to the Kennedy Space Center on the East coast of Florida. We left the house about noon and headed East and had a great drive. Really, we had no idea what to expect when we got there but were very excited about seeing the shuttle go up, from about 15 miles out. What an amazing place. We ended up at Space view Park, which as stated earlier, is about 15 miles due west of the launch site.

This park is amazing. The park is a major tribute or memorial to all the past and future astronauts.

This last picture is at the end of the Astronauts Walk of Fame in the park. The clouds were coming in, just about an hour or so before the shuttle was to launch and I turned around where this monument was, right directly behind me, and Saw this, what I thought, looked like an amazing image. The sky appeared to be opening up, right above the monument, into the heavens, almost as an invitation from God to the Space Program. What an unbelievable site, or view. These picture really don't do the experience any justice. You MUST experience it if you get to Florida.

What a fantastic way to unplug...A day off, with my gorgeous, kind, giving, loving, generous wife. I truly LOVE life.
