When God Closes a Door He Opens a Window

Most of us have heard this saying at some point in our lives. Many have lived it and others go through life depending on it to be fact and sometimes never have to stand on that faith.

I am living this today. I am standing on the faith that God will see us through our troubles and continue to bless us with the amazing grace He has shown all the prior days of our lives. I guess I'll explain what has happened, what is happening and the outcome, as far as we know it now.

I have never been one to share my personal strife or trials online or in person unless the one with whom I am sharing is a very close family member, IE: Mother, sister, wife. That being said, I am changing my policy because of the support we have received for our mission with the 9-12 Project Truck. The story goes as follows.

On the 17th of October, on our way from Salt Lake City UT to Atlanta GA I was driving through the Smokey Mountains in TN between Chattanooga and Nashville. Mont eagle is the town at the top of the mountain.

As you descend the mountain headed southeast, the scenery is unbelievable at all times of year but this morning seemed especially gorgeous. It was mid October, the leaves were changing, the sun was just cresting the mountain tops to the East, and it was cold enough that there was a heavy frost on most surfaces. The air was brisk but refreshingly clean with the windows of the truck cracked just enough to feel the cool breeze.

I had the radio on and had, just prior to topping the mountain, been listening to Cowboy Church on XM 13 (Willies Place), now renamed Cowboy Camp Meeting I believe. By the time I started down the hill on the south east side, Bill Mack's Sunday Social had started on that same channel. I was looking out the window in awe of the beauty that morning. The sun was heating up just enough to start to warm the roofs of the few buildings you can see off to the south east. Many of the leaves had already begun to fall off the trees and that made the view of those buildings somewhat better though still a bit obscure. As the sun was warming the roofs the frost had started to melt and a fog or steam from that was rising off the roof of an old, somewhat dilapidated, small metal shed and the song below came on the radio behind Bill Mack's booming, easily recognizable voice. The song is Kris Kristofferson's "Why Me".

I'm not sure how any one man can be so blessed but in that moment, and actually in retrospect all moments, I feel I was and am the most blessed man on earth. Since I started driving I had always wanted to be in the Smokey Mountains at this time of year and under these conditions because I had always heard about the beauty that abounds. Words can do it NO justice. Even pictures cannot capture all the many facets of nature's beauty and God's gracious gifts. I could go on about this five minutes for a lifetime...but I'll not.

We continued down the road and near Atlanta I noticed an SUV riding beside me and reading the side of the truck. The road there, reading, taking pictures and waiving for several miles, probably 10 miles or more in all reality. Finally I decided, in the interest of safety and traffic flow, to pull off the road and talk to the people and let them take some good pictures and learn about the 9-12 Project. I pulled off on an off ramp, exited the truck and gave them some reading materials. They signed the truck and allowed me to take a picture of them and their family. This was a very kind Christian family that was eager to learn about the mission.

Following a brief exchange we all moved on and Tina and I continued on to our Atlanta terminal for a Sunday afternoon delivery.

After arriving at the Atlanta terminal we were asked to run a load into Miami that evening for Monday morning. The load was to be ready at 2100. We received a call at about 1600 that there was an earlier Miami load and asked if we could pull it instead of the later one. We complied and off to Miami we headed.

THE "UNWANTED SOBATICAL" CAUSING EVENT:
Just south of Macon, at mile post 133, I pulled off the road due to shoulder, jaw and neck pain, and blurred vision. Any guesses? That's right, I was having a heart attack. Tina called 911 and I was picked up by an ambulance and transported to Medical Center of Central Georgia and into the emergency room. After some tests and preparatory procedures they rushed me to the Heart catheter unit and placed a stent in one of the coronary arteries. The artery was 100% blocked by a clot that had broken loose from another location and moved to the heart causing a blockage.

On the night of the 17th of October, after all was said and done, the attending physician informed Tina and me that I had suffered a significant Heart attack but that most of the damage had seemingly been averted with prompt action by the first responders and my quick recognition of a problem, not to mention the amazing Emergency room team and the team in the heart catheter lab.

I stayed in the hospital until the 22nd and was released to go home. Tina drove and we arrived there late Friday evening. Since that time, the news has gotten somewhat worse.

After much testing and many doctors visits, it has been determined that I have suffered a massive heart attack with substantial heart damage. The damage that I have encountered is bad enough that the F.M.C.S.A. (page 94/95)will not allow my re-certification as a commercial driver. Further, it appears at this point that I will need an I.C.D. device implanted to regulate when necessary and shock when necessary, my heart function.

Moving forward:
Unfortunately, as mentioned above, the F.M.C.S.A. will not allow me to be re-certified as a commercial driver with the condition of my heart nor will they permit driving with an icd.

I find it heartbreaking that we will have to sell the 9-12 Project Truck. Many of you know our passion for the 9-12 Project and for the mission at hand of helping to wake up and educate the public on the demise of liberty as granted by God to our country.

That being said, when God closes a door He opens a window. I am faithful in the belief that God will provide the path that we are to follow and will lead us down that very path through fervent prayer and his answers thereof.

Finally, though the 9-12 Truck as you have grown to know it will no longer be on the road, at least not with the same vigor as before we will, in whatever endeavor we partake, be promoting, advertising and continue to espouse the Principles and values of the 9-12 Project, and we will be as loud and boisterous about it, just like before.

I will still, in the future be posting at Stop the Destruction of America about current events and my disgust for our out of control government, local, county, state, and national entities all. Please follow along and find out, when I do, about our next venture.

In closing...May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, the rain fall soft upon your fields and, until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

God Bless you all.

Obama's Religion...Not Muslim, Not Buddhism, Definately Not Christian

I suppose to understand one's religion, we must first understand what "Religion" or being "religious" really means. The best definition I can find is in Miriam Webster's online dictionary. Following are the definitions. Just click the words for the definitions.

Religion

Religious

Many years ago, I remember a preacher preaching a sermon on religion. I remember the point being that to be religious, one only has to do something, anything, including going to church to Worship God, with devotion and or regularity. The point being that anything can be done religiously.

We've all heard sayings or phrases like, "he goes to the bank religiously on Friday evening", or "I take my health supplements religiously".

This word, like many in our vocabulary, has been morphed into things not necessarily intended for it's original meaning. I'm not nor do I intend to imply here that being religious is not a good thing. I believe it depends on what one is religious about and ones goals and beliefs as to whether or not it is a good religion.

More to the point is to figure out what we believe "O"'s religious beliefs are or what "O" is religious about these days. Following is my observation concerning "O"'s religion.

I believe Barack Obama worships at the alter of power. Power being his only god. I further believe that his only religion is politics. Stay with me here. You see, Obama's ride, or vehicle, to power is politics just as Christianity through Jesus Christ is our, or at least is my ride, or vehicle to God which is who's alter at which I worship.

If we watch Obama, we invariably see that his faith depends on to whom he is speaking. When he speaks to the Muslims, it seams that he likes to talk about his deep rooted Muslim back ground from his father's. When he speaks to a Christian audience, he likes to talk about his Christian mother and how his faith is grounded in Christian beliefs. Though I haven't seen, because I refuse to watch all his speeches, I suspect the same is true at speeches in front of Catholics, Jews, Budists, Etc.

Being not sure whether I've made my point, let me say here, Obama is a panderer. He worships at the alter of politics, meaning whichever god is politically expedient to the audience to whom he is speaking. Pandering is politics. That makes politics Obama's only real religion and power his only god.

10 Rules for All Conservatives.

Earlier today, in an attempt to make a new friend, I approached someone, another trucker, with whom I thought I may have some like-mindedness. Man was I wrong. My goodness, how stupid of me to think that because we may disagree in one are or more that we can't agree in others.

With that in mind, I compiled a list of rules. This is an ever growing list and one that has been in the making since my political awakening 10 years or so ago. The more I learn about "the other end of the spectrum", the more rules I add.

This is the statement that sparked the compilation of the list.

"By looking at your page I really don't think you want to add me. You claim to be ultra conservative and I am at the other end of the spectrum. You claim that god rules your life and I think he is a really good fairy tale. Not to mention that I am also a Lesbian and think that one groups god should not rule everyone's life."
Rene

Now, The list...10 Rules for All Conservatives No 11 Rules.

Rule #1. Those from "the other end of the spectrum" are always right...no matter what!

Rule #2. Diversity can only be required of Conservatives BY those from "the other end of the spectrum."

Rule #3. No Ultra Conservative Christian my be friends with a God denying person from "the other end of the spectrum"

Rule #4. Those of other than "the other end of the spectrum" minds must not ever befriend those from "the other end of the spectrum"

Rule #5. We must introduce ourselves as heterosexual, God Fearing, Bible Thumping, Conservative, gay bashing, homophobic, haters when approaching a lesbian, homosexual, or bisexual, God denying person from "the other end of the spectrum...but only when asked to do so by the person from "the other end of the spectrum as not to be deemed presumptuous of ones beliefs or sexual orientations.

Rule #6. Freedom of speech only applies to those from "the other end of the spectrum"

Rule #7. Profiling is only allowed by those from"the other end of the spectrum" to place all non lesbian, non Homosexual, non bi sexual, non God denying, Christian, Conservatives in one barrel. That would be the hater barrel according to those from "the other end of the spectrum.

Rule #8. There is no allowance for like mindedness unless ALL opinions on ALL subjects are ALL the same as those from "the other end of the spectrum"

Rule #9. Difference of opinion or a different viewpoint is only hate when applied to the ones who disagree with those from "the other end of the spectrum". Otherwise it is only a difference of opinion or a different view point.

Rule #10. When all else fails, refer to Rule #1.

Rule #11. Always assume that when our message can no longer be attacked by those from "the other end of the spectrum" with facts, that the discussion will end with a hateful, usually vial or vulgar slur.

Finally, my response to the one I approached and to whom prompted this list and the eventual posting of the list...

Seriously, I find it terribly disappointing that you believe that because my principles and values are different than yours that we can't have likes or dislikes that are in agreement in other areas of life.

Likewise, I find it discouraging that in an America that preaches diversity of opinion and lifestyle, even thrives on it, that two people who disagree on the existence of God or difference in policy or in politics not only can't but some are even unwilling to search out some like-mindedness in other areas of our lives.

Oh, and I don't believe, in any way, that My God belongs to any one group, as you implied. Salvation, Redemption is there for all who are willing to ask and make an effort to live for the God to whom they look for that Redemption.

Be Well.

So for all you folks out there who may not have the list, feel free to copy as necessary or refer to this site as often as you like. For those of you who wish to add a rule to the list, please leave a comment and once someone from "the other end of the spectrum" is consulted and agrees, I will add it to the list appropriately.
Thanks for your input.

This is their response to the rules...I have tried to remove the vulgarity
Well actually I was just trying to save you from being offended when at some point or another someone pisses me off and I post as my status message "I really wish all those god loving bible thumpers would go be with their god and leave me the f^@# alone". But I ended up offending you anyway just trying to save you from that. I guess thats what I get for trying to be nice.
My bad!

My response to their response to the rules and Rule #11
Well now, imagine that, someone from "the other end of the spectrum" taking it upon themselves to make decisions for others. Isn't that kind of the mantra of those from "the other end of the spectrum"?

It seems that those from "the other end of the spectrum" believe that we, conservative Christians or capitalists, or anyone else with whom they disagree, just aren't smart enough to fend for ourselves so they, those from "the other end of the spectrum" are always setting up blockades to avoid allowing the downtrodden, the simple mined, the less fortunate among us to learn from their perceived mistakes. I just didn't realize that I, as a Conservative Christian, was so fragile of mind, so unable to protect myself.

Quite honestly, madam, what you need to know is this. I am never offended. You see, to be offended one must wear a chip on ones shoulder. To wear a chip on ones shoulder, one must have something in ones life of which they are ashamed or about which they are confused.

I could never be "offended" by anyone's lack of mental clarity, their confusion about or shame of something in their life, not by ones choice of sexual preference, and not even by ones inability to think clearly past a vulgar, filthy diatribe almost always ending in conservative or God, or Bible thumping hater, or homophobe or the most commonly used bigot or racist. You, madam trucker, could never offend me.

Further, I need not any salvation that might be offered by a truck driving lesbian from "the other end of the spectrum".

Finally, While I would never invite an unarmed assailant into my house and start shooting, my partner has advised me that I should not continue a battle of wits with an obviously unarmed assailant.

Good Day Madam and Be Well

By the way, with every proverbial dip of your quill you seem to provide another rule.

Rule #11 for All Conservatives

Rule #11. Always assume that when our message can no longer be attacked by those from "the other end of the spectrum" with facts, that the discussion will end with a hateful, usually vial or vulgar slur.

Be well and God Bless You and Yours

Sarah Palin's Resignation...Calculated Genius or Political Catastophe?

First, I don't believe she actually cares about her political career one way or another, but to answer the above question I think we have to examine what Sarah Palin has in mind for her future. The problem with that though, is that Ms. Palin and her husband are probably the only two who know what her future plans really are. I do think, however, that if we look at who Sarah Palin is, and who she says she serves we can see a long way into the future, and see what she actually has in mind.

Ms. Palin has always pronounced her Faith in God, Her Love for her Family, and Her dedication to the service of Alaska, and Devotion to Country as her religious, moral and political stance. In my humble opinion, that is just exactly what she has in mind for her future, Just follow me here.

First, her faith in God gives her, her moral, undying, love for her family and her faith in God, and love for her family, make it an obligation for her to devote herself to promoting the principles and values that America was founded upon. Actually, I no more believe you can separate one from the other without destroying the person that she is, than you can separate Christ from the Immaculate Conception without destroying the entire foundation of the Christian Faith.

The MSM just does not understand how anyone could profess to put ANYTHING ahead of politics and fame. The fact of the matter is that the pukes in the MSM that claim to know, know nothing. They know nothing that isn't in their world, and Ms. Palin, and the rest of America are in totally different worlds than the East and West coasts of America, which is where the so call or self proclaimed, Main Stream Media resides.

All the above had to be pointed out, in my opinion, to say this. Sarah Palin is going to do whatever will serve Her Lord, Her Family and Her Country the best...In that order. I believe, Ms Palin will work feverishly to support, promote, and advance the conservative movement the best way she knows how, by being Sarah Palin, and in my eyes, that is absolutely the best way to promote the movement. I mean, who better to speak for what we believe. I can think of no-one. I'm not sure that she will claim to be a 9-12er or a Tea Party Patriot but I am positively sure that she will do her best to support the principles and values of those and many organizations like them and the principles and values of our Founding Fathers.

By the way, whether she decides to run for another office or not, who the hell says that less than 1 full term as Governor of Alaska isn't enough to qualify her for a run for higher office. We have a current President, in Barack Obama, who served less than 1 year of a 6 year term as a dirt bag Senator. Besides jumping form dirt bag Senator to President, he never ran a business, Ms. Palin has, he never worked outside politics, Ms. Palin has, and he attended a church full of hate for 20 years, and surrounded himself with Marxist, and Socialists all his life...Sarah Palin didn't!!!
